I was up early this morning and took the truck out to get fuel for the long drive tonight after the show. More of that later.

The performance tonight was at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande, CA. This is on the Central Coast of California nestled in a beautiful area. I’m slowly getting through the sickness but now Cindy is feeling under the weather. It seems everyone is having some respiratory problems and allergies are acting up – except for David.

We arrived at the venue, met the crew (Rick, Tom, Robbie, Gary, Barry, and Russell), rearranged a few of the soft goods and then unloaded the trailer. Cindy directed it all in and we were on the way to setting up. The show did go quickly with just a few snags here and there – mostly in the lighting department – but nothing that we couldn’t work through easily. I was really pleased with the way the backdrops looked and the stage in general.

It was a great audience – a nice mix of families, high school students and senior citizens. And there were a few of the area magicians in attendance as well. Volunteers were excellent and helped keep the show moving along at a nice pace.
After the show, we had to pack it down quickly.  Everyone kicked into gear and got things packed up and loaded.  David did a great job of tearing things down – quietly – during the show.  We were out in about 45 minutes – truly a record!

Our next show is in Napa, CA and that’s almost 5 hours from Arroyo Grande.  We have to drive tonight at least a couple of hours in order to get there in time for load in!  It’s going to be a long night – and a short one too!
