WOW – what a great day at the River Center in Columbus, GA!!! The staff and crew at the Performing Arts Center are amazing. A special thanks to Steve, Kevin, Josh, Adam and Charles for their help during the show AND to all the rest of the gang for a record-time set up, tear down and load out. It was MAGIC!
The intelligent lighting and controller saga finally comes to an end. We received our recently repaired Controller from High End at the venue. We were wondering if the hundreds of pages of presets were going to be in tact and, much to our great pleasure, they were. Kevin and John at the River Center worked very hard to get one of my fixtures up and going (for more details on this one, read Walterboro, SC). It will make interesting “behind-the-scenes” footage for our 2005 US Tour DVD.
The audience in Columbus? Just as amazing! We had excellent volunteers and wonderful responses from this very enthusiastic audience! I met so many people in the lobby afterwards and enjoyed hearing their favorite illusions. We will look forward to our next visit to this area. THANKS to all of you for making this a memorable day!
Double Whammy? Well, that would refer to the time change. This is the night we “fall back” and gain that coveted extra hour of sleep…and in the morning we head to Montgomery, AL where we will go into Central Time and gain another hour. The double whammy for us is that we’ll gain those two hours in less than 12 hours! We’ll never know what time it really is!
