We arrived in Dover early in the day – around 3:30pm. We made great time even with some tough traffic around Washington D.C. Once we were settled into the hotel, I had the chance to visit with an old friend, Dr. Ken Waldrop. We’ve known Ken for many years, worked together several times when he was involved in Student Activities at Coker College (SC) and Lander University (SC). Now he’s the Dean of Students at Wesley College in Dover. We enjoyed a diet coke over some appetizers at the local Applebee’s. He’ll be at the show tomorrow.
I did find the articles in the DOVER POST and the DELAWARE STATE NEWS. I’d put up the links for you but neither of these papers has a website where their papers is online. The articles were colorful and interesting. One was titled, “Abraca-Dover.”
Tomorrow, we’re at the Schwartz Center for the Arts downtown – small streets in a historic area. Could be interesting!
