There are highs and lows to being on the road. Today we experienced both of them. We made it into Huntingdon for our performance at the Halbritter Performing Arts Center. But we arrived a little late. We had to travel over some very large mountains with lots of construction. Once we arrived in town, we got lost heading to the theatre. And these towns are filled with narrow one-way streets! We finally made it to the loading dock where an eager crew awaited us.

We quickly moved into “load in” mode and, because of a great technical crew, the day went very smoothly. We are still being “haunted” a bit by the weirdness of our sound system and David spent a good part of his day on the phone with technical support.

The show was FANTASTIC! The venue holds 860 and we had well over 900 packed into the place – people standing against the back walls on the main floor and the balcony as well as sitting in the aisles of the balcony – PACKED! You could tell from the time we opened the doors that this was an audience ready to have a good time. Volunteers were perfect. Audience responses were excellent. And the Brick Wall got an enthusiastic shout of approval from the crowd. It was a GREAT night!

Chad, Jessie and the gang were a blast to work with and made the day loads of fun.

The show ended with a standing ovation from a great audience. Once we were loaded back into the trailer, we were off to grab a quick bite at McDonalds and then to bed. We had an early morning on Saturday driving to Frostburg. As I pulled into the McDonalds, the tires on my trailer hit the curb and we all heard the unmistakable sound of escaping air. I had ripped a hole in one of the tires! At 11:30pm, there was no where to get it fixed. I guess I’ll deal with it in the morning.
