We have officially ended our 06/07 tour with our last performance at Hoover Auditorium in Lakeside, OH on July 5. It was a great show to go out on with their record-breaking crowd of 2,226 people! We had a great time working with everyone and the audience was fantastic.
We’ve been driving the last couple of days to get back home to Lynchburg. We didn’t try to do it all in one day; no sense pushing an 11 hour drive in a 65′ truck if you don’t have to. As we were loading our suitcases into the truck, leaving Lakeside, we had the chance to talk with dozens of people – probably hundreds – before leaving the community. We continued to receive positive feedback from those who attended the show and most of those comments came from teenagers and young adults…a tough crowd to please sometimes.
We stayed in Charleston, WV last night – did a little shopping at Gabriel Brothers and then went to the Super China Buffet for dinner (they have the best Mongolian BBQ!). And the entire buffet is only $9.59 – a great deal for great food. We all retired to our respective rooms at the hotel for the evening.
We were back on the road this morning around 9:30am and arrived home just about an hour ago. So we’re going to get some rest before the office gears up to get ready for the fall. It never stops…but we have so many new, amazing, original illusions in the show that have not yet been edited into marketing materials, there still a lot that has to be done.
I’m excited about next season (the tour schedule is now online). I think the new production is one of the strongest shows we’ve ever had on tour. I hope you’ll check it out if we are in your area! And if you’re one of our Facebook friends, I’ve just posted some pictures there from Vegas and Reno!
We do have one more trip out this summer – late July/early August – to visit my parents in Arkansas and the Koles in Arizona. We are really looking forward to that trip!
