There is simply no place on earth like New York City! Keith and I have had an amazing time here – and there’s always such an energy in the air. It was extremely busy this time so we didn’t even get a chance to catch any Broadway shows. Cindy and I hope to get back up here this summer and see Mary Poppins. Jim created all the magic in the production (both in New York and London’s West End) so we just have to see this show!
I did have the opportunity to spend some time with our friends from Taipei. We journeyed into the heart of Manhattan to one of the finest Chinese restaurants in the city. I didn’t even attempt to order food here, leaving that to Joyce who ordered an assortment of delicacies. They were all delicious!
After a three hour dining experience and some fun-filled conversation, we walked back up Broadway toward our hotel – making a quick stop at the Virgin records store.
I am sitting in LaGuardia Airport now, looking forward to being home! It’s rare that Cindy and I are ever apart so I’m anxious to get back home and see her.
We start our 2008 tour in New Jersey with three sold out performances at Raritan Valley Theatre, The Count Basie Theatre, and the Bergen Performing Arts Center.
