It wasn’t a bad day to travel in Kansas – sunny and bright. BUT the wind was unbelievable. Traveling across the country in a “high profile vehicle” always makes driving on really, really windy days a bit of a challenge. And we were driving straight into it, like trying to swim against the current of the river. It was exhausting behind the wheel until we arrived in Wichita and turned northwest. Now the wind was almost behind us and the road became easier to navigate. It’s amazing to me how something so invisible can have such a tremendous influence on things!
We have a couple of days off because our show at the Fox Theatre isn’t until Friday. We arrived in Hutchinson, checked out the local mall and grabbed a bit to eat at the Chinese place. I caught up on the dozens of emails waiting for an answer from me and then Cindy and I went to Walmart…stopping afterwards at IHop for pancakes! I don’t eat carbs so this was a real treat – we had a good time.
My interview this morning with a reporter named Kelly from Pittsburgh went excellent. She was so easy to talk with and had some great questions. She is going to be doing an article on the Healing of Magic outreach we’ll be doing in Greensburg, PA in just a couple of weeks. I’m really looking forward to meeting her and to reading the article!
In the morning, I have another interview with a reporter from Harrisonburg, VA for our show there at the end of the month. After that, all of us are going to check out the Cosmosphere here in Hutchinson. IMAX theatre and great space exhibits – it’s going to be fun!
