We will be staying in the U.S. this year for the holidays. Last year, we opened Christmas Day in Hong Kong for four performances and then off to Taipei for the crossover event (New Year’s Eve) for two performances. It’s always a great time – that was our second tour in those countries. Our first tour was made into a DVD available on Shop on this website.
This year, we are heading to Colorado where I’m sure it will be very cold! We open Christmas Day at the Vilar Center for the Arts at a ski resort/village called Beaver Creek, just a few miles from Vail. We are scheduled for two performances here but they might add a third show on the 26th because tickets are selling very well. After our last show in Beaver Creek, we’ll head to the Michael Palm Theatre in Telluride for two performances – on the 28th and 29th.
I have no desire to drive a 65-foot semi through the Rocky Mountains in December so we’ve made arrangements to the equipment picked up in Denver and trucked to the theatres while we rent an SUV and follow.
Our truck should be ready this week – new engine and all – so we’ll be working hard all week on getting props ready. After that, we’ll load it all back in the trailer and finish up in the office.
I think it might be a busy week.
