Last night, we did our first performance of the season at McCrary Theatre in Elon, NC. They were calling for severe thunderstorms throughout the day so we were all prepared to get soaked during load in. BUT, they were wrong! It was a beautiful day – sun shinning, slightly overcast and not too hot. Of course, we were in the theatre all day…
We had a sold out performance – over sold acutally. They set up extra chairs in the orchestra pit and packed the place! And what a great audience they were! Wonderful volunteers and an audience that was a delight to perform for…and they honored us with a standing ovation when, in fact, it was this crowd that was so excellent!
The crew here is phenomenal! Rick, Jack, John, John-O,Evan, Mike and Dustin all did an outstanding job of helping us get the show up in record time. What a great way to stay the season!
As I write this, I’m sitting in the Phoenix airport waiting for my connecting flight to Long Beach. It’s been a long trip…
