What a great day in Hutchinson! We arrived to find that Josh, the Technical Director, had done a fantastic job of adapting our light and line plot to their stage. The stage is a typical 1930’s vaudeville stage – not a lot of depth and limited wing space. But, when they restored this venue, they made the most of every inch of what they had available to them. Cindy and David were able to bring in everything except Windshear for this show – and then they were slammed for space! I don’t know how they moved behind the drops to get this on and off the stage…but they did and it worked.

The theatre is spectacular, amazing restored to its original splendor. You don’t see restorations like this one very often and it is always an honor/privilege for us to bring our production to these historic places. It’s hard for me to even begin to imagine the magical performers who have stepped onto that stage.

Mary and Carrie were wonderful hosts and they obviously did a fantastic job with the marketing of our performance. We had an excellent crowd – almost a full house. I enjoyed meeting many of them after the show, hearing their comments and listening to their favorites.

Tomorrow, we drive to St. Louis – two shows on Sunday.
