We did our second show at the Heritage Center last night. We had an audience that was twice the size of the one on Thursday night! And they were great! We’ve been incredibly impressed with the enthusiasm, exciting, and exuberance that the people in Cedar City so freely give to us on the stage. Once again, we had some awesome volunteers on the stage. I am always very thankful for good volunteers – they can add so much to the presentation of an illusion. And tonight we had several people on the stage that were full of personality.
I met lots of people in the lobby after the show. And I love it when people take the time to visit the website and drop the office an email. We received this one tonight from someone who attended the Friday night performance:
“I just saw your Friday night show in Cedar City and just wanted to thank you for a very entertaining and fun night…your tricks left me baffled and amazed. I especially like how personal you guys are, signing autographs and talking with the crowd afterwards. I guarantee you there are a ton of kids in Cedar City tonight that are dreaming of being magicians. Thanks again for the show. You guys travel safely and dont forget to have fun.”
We arrived in the theatre early in the day. We wanted to take advantage of this beautiful place to take some pictures of some of the new illusions in next year’s production. One of our featured effects next year is “Walking Through A Brick Wall.” Not since 1914 when Harry Houdini performed the illusion at the Garden Roof Top Theatre in New York City has anyone attempted this on stage. We are really excited to be the only illusionists in the world touring with this illusion in our show next season.
We took tons of pictures and had a photographer at the show last night. We’re hoping we got some great images for our marketing and publicity photos! You’ll see them soon on the website but I’ve posted a sample.
We have our last show in Cedar City today…we’re hoping for another big crowd!
