I had two interviews this morning – one of those was for our upcoming show at the Schwartz Center for the Arts in Dover, DE. It should be a fun day – May 12.

After the interviews, we loaded up and started down the road to Huntsville, AL. We have 2 shows here tomorrow at the Von Braun Civic Center – 2pm and 7pm. In order to prevent the day from becoming too long and trying to avoid an early morning load in, the local crew here was gracious and let us load in this afternoon. We pulled into the loading dock around 2:45pm and scoped the space. It’s a huge stage with lots of room for everything. We were able to get the truck unloaded, scenery up, intelligent lighting in the air, sound set up, and lights focused and cues loaded into the light board in a matter of four hours! This crew is excellent!

Tomorrow should be an easier day. We won’t have to be at the theatre until 9:30am, the rest of the crew will arrive at 10am. All that remains is to tweak the cues, EQ the sound and microphones, program the intelligent lights and do a tech run through. First show at 2pm!

As a very special treat, Cindy and I went over to Ruth’s Chris Steak House for dinner. This place serves the most amazing steak you will ever eat! Now, my good friend Tom would firmly disagree with that!  He’s a big fan of Morton’s Steak House.  Anyway, it was nice to relax and enjoy dinner (something other than a processed “something” wrapped in colored paper). Once the food hit the stomach, we realized just how tired we really are! So, I’m going to call it an early evening and get some sleep. Morning will be here before you know it.
