I was hoping to spend about a week at home between two legs of the tour. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. We’ve been having some trouble with the power generator on the truck. It’s not a surprise though – it has more than 30,000 hours of operation on it. According to the technicians, that’s the equivalent of 1.8 million miles on an engine! I got a couple of estimates to replace the generator and they were over $10,000! Cindy recommended that we contact the people who customized the truck, NRC Modifications. I did – and they were able to put in a new generator for a fraction of the cost. But it meant leaving home after only 2 days at home. Keith and I drove to Indiana, dropped off the truck, and got a hotel room for a few days…where I was able to get a lot of work done.
It’s bigger – much bigger – than the original generator. And it’s much, much quieter too!
Cindy, Alan, and Chase will fly into Minneapolis next week to meet up with Keith and I. I have a couple of days of activities in Burnsville before our show there on Thursday at the Burnsville Performing Arts Center. I’m going to conduct a workshop for the therapists at the Courage Center on Tuesday and then do some work in the schools of Wednesday – show on Thursday.
Carter – the wonder dog – is traveling with Keith and I. He’s doing okay but can’t figure out where everyone is. I think he misses Cindy the most…but he’s not having much trouble sleeping.
