We had a GREAT time with the audience last night! What a beautiful performing arts center they have in Prescott, AZ. We arrived the night before and settled into the hotel for the evening – our home on the road for a couple of days.
I was up on Friday morning to make an appearance on AM ARIZONA, a statewide arts and information program. I really enjoyed the hosts – Lou and Tanya – and they gave a great promo for the evening performance.
Once we arrived at the theatre, Danny Anderson (the Tech Director) and his crew were right there ready to go to work. The stage has lots of space, which we quickly filled with our cases, and the show went up very fast. I checked in with the Box Office to see where we were on tickets. The venue has 1100 seats and we were at almost 900 pre-sold. They were getting lots of phone calls and expected that walk-up would be strong. As it turns out, we were only a few tickets from a sell out and the audience was FANTASTIC! This was one of the most enjoyable shows we’ve done this season – great crowd, wonderful responses, excellent crew, beautiful venue.
Some of our friends also drove up from Phoenix. After the show, we all gathered at the IN ‘N OUT Burger for a late night snack. This morning, we were up and had breakfast with Andre and Kathy (they drove up from Phoenix for the show and stayed the night). We talked about lots of projects, enjoyed our visit and then took off for California.
Tonight, we’re in Kingman, AZ….tomorrow, we travel the Mojave Desert!
